The Community Work Placements programme is an initiative aimed at job-seekers whose main barrier to work is lack of experience. It is especially useful to those people who have spent a long time away from a structured work environment.
Groundwork South Yorkshire works with a variety of local ‘hosts’ who give placements to jobseekers. All hosts are organisations that work for a community benefit, like charities or schools.
Alongside placements, Groundwork actively facilitates recruitment. For example, we recently organised a recruitment day for a local business, which resulted in eight CWP clients securing paid work.
