Huge NCS graduation party

Groundwork South Yorkshire celebrated the end of NCS Summer 2015 in style! The graduation event was held for over 200 participants and their friends and relatives. The ceremony was hosted at the O2 Academy in Sheffield city centre, complete with unlimited photobooth, free drinks and a massive afterparty.  Read more

Enterprise Camp Graduation

Groundwork South Yorkshire has now run three successful Enterprise Camps as part of the Talent Match programme. Last week, it was time to get all the participants together to celebrate their completion of the course with a graduation event! The Camp allows young people who are not in education, employment or training to complete an intensive enterprise course away from home. It takes a huge amount of strength and confidence to sign up and attend but these guys all did it and we couldn’t be prouder! Read more

As we promised in our last post, the NCS adventure continues here. On top of rock climbing, abseiling and bushcraft, the 230 teenagers who joined us for Groundwork NCS 2015 also tackled the dizzying heights of the zipline and learnt a new and surprisingly useful skill – dry-stone walling! The first part of NCS sees participants and staff spending a week at Carlton Lodge in Thirsk.
