Mark had been working in IT for over 20 years and has a wide range of practical and skills before joining the Community Work Placements project, Mark had been unemployed for five years.
He had been actively seeking work and had taken part in a number of get-into-work initiatives but felt that they didn’t provide anything that he wasn’t already doing for himself.
After learning of Mark’s experience and interest in administration and IT support, Groundwork found him a Community Work Placement as an IT Support Technician with CC33, a sales and marketing firm based in Sheffield.
This gave Mark the opportunity to update his skills and gain valuable experience. Now, having completed his placement, CC33 have offered Mark a full-time role as a Manager where he will be responsible for the company’s IT systems, managing their hardware, servers, networks and software requirements.
