Find out more about the official launch of Groundwork South Yorkshire.
October 2015 has seen the official launch of Groundwork South Yorkshire and our new website, which reflects the work that the trust carries out across the region.
As part of the launch, we really wanted to engage with local stakeholders to showcase our work and success stories over the last year. This was also a great opportunity to clearly explain what Groundwork South Yorkshire hopes to achieve in the future.
The emphasis of the work the trust carries out can be described in four clear business areas: Education, Employment, Enterprise and Environment.
The launch took place at The Source at Meadowhall and over 70 delegates from across the region attended, including representatives from local authorities, businesses and third sector organisations.
Attendees were invited to help themselves to food and drink, whilst browsing the exhibition area. The trust showcased good news stories, art work by young people and sold flowers and plants from a local start-up.
Everyone was soon invited into the main room, where Groundwork employees from each project spoke about their work.
Groundwork’s National Citizen Service team were also delighted to present Jack Marshall and Blue Dot as special guests. Both Jack and the Blue Dot team completed Groundwork’s NCS programme and were keen to talk about their experiences.
At the end of the event, everyone was given a Groundwork South Yorkshire goody bag, which contained the annual report and also some beauitful Christmas cards featuring a snowy Rabbit Ings.
