Matthew now works on the allotment team, he mans the phones and is in charge of the admin, responsible for plot lettings, logging and dealing with issues received via phone.
Highlight of the role: In my role, I have the opportunity to meet a variety of people from different backgrounds. Each person needs help with something in their life; being able to change their lives for the better is one of the best feelings.
Why Groundwork South Yorkshire is great: I have come full circle, from attending the Talent-Match programme as a young person myself, struggling to achieve goals to securing a paid position within Groundwork. I am in a much better place in life and I enjoy helping other young people, in similar situations.
