Helen works between Talent Match and Doing Good Business Programmes to make sure that all of our clients are up-to-date with their documents, happy with our help and that all of our paperwork is up to date. I also help to organise events and activities for our clients and sometimes attend Enterprise camps!
Before joining Groundwork South Yorkshire, Helen was an English Teacher in Thailand for two years and a teacher in China for a year before that!
Highlight of the role: I love working with the clients and seeing them progress! I also love seeing our events come together exactly how I pictured in my head!
Why is Groundwork South Yorkshire great: Groundwork works incredibly hard to help so many different people and always tries to cater to everybody's needs and I think that makes it pretty great!
Matthew works on the Talent-Match Programme, which includes engaging with young people through Spark's Day Activities and encouraging and leading young people at the Enterprise Camps.
Before joining as a member of the Groundwork South Yorkshire team, Matthew volunteered with the Talent-Match Programme for over two years.
Highlight of the role: In my role, I have the opportunity to meet a variety of people from different backgrounds. Each person needs help with something in their life; being able to change their lives for the better is one of the best feelings.
Why Groundwork South Yorkshire is great: I have come full circle, from attending the Talent-Match programme as a young person myself, struggling to achieve goals to securing a paid position within Groundwork. I am in a much better place in life and I enjoy helping other young people, in similar situations.
Becky engages and motivates young people to improve their employability and enterprise skills. Through activities, camps and individual coaching, the end goal is for young people to become confident enough to make their own decisions and hopefully secure employment, education or training.
Prior to joining Groundwork, Becky worked with youth charities in Malawi and Zambia and graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2015.

Tom works as our Talent Match Youth Engagement Officer, his role involves dealing with and talking to young people on a daily basis, building on their talents and encouraging them to take part in Groundwork SY's Enterprise Camp.
Starting out as a volunteer on Groundwork South Yorkshire's NCS programme a couple of years ago, our delivery partner Element saw in Tom his talent and dedication for making other people happy and encouraging them to excel. This gave Tom the opportunity to grow and start a new chapter in his life, and he hasn't looked back, working with young people now for 3 years!
Highlight of the role: “Groundwork SY has changed me into who I am today and I know that they have done so for thousands of other young people”.

Lahari Parchuri is the Senior Enterprise coach at Groundwork South Yorkshire. Lahari has been working on the Accelerate programme since July 2016 and she is also currently studying for an MBA(Master of Business Administration) . Previously Lahari was the Social Enterprise officer for Groundwork. Lahari is a member of Chartered Management Institute and has experience in Designing and delivering workshops on different aspects of leadership such as: problem solving & critical thinking, creative entrepreneurship.
Highlight of the role: Enables me to lead without titles and make a real difference.

Kirsty joined Groundwork South Yorkshire in April 2015. Kirsty’s main focus is developing Groundwork’s Talent Match Enterprise programme. Kirsty works with Enterprise Camp participants to progress them into business start-up and encourages enterprising skills and ideas.
Since graduating from Nottingham University in 2008, Kirsty has worked for various charities across the UK. Having worked for a children’s charity in Birmingham and now supporting young people at Groundwork, Kirsty is passionate about working with young people.
Highlight of the role: “Definitely working with young people and being able to make a difference to their lives”.
